Located underneath the ground shop: access is via a flights of stairs…

500 years old and grade II listed, the cellar pre-dates the building above. Its a fastinating glimpse into Leighton Buzzard’s history. It is said the cellar was once connected to the church via tunnels underneath the town centre. An ice cave, plus evidence of the old kitchens and servants entrance is still visable and it is a very atmospheric setting for a glass of wine….

Its not a dark&dingy cellar, as you can see from the photo, the floor above has been converted into a partial ‘mezzanine’ style floor, allowing natural light from the large windows to flood into the cellar.

The area is very flexible, we have folding chairs & tables for painting lessons, bar stools and cocktail tables for more social gatherings and all of these can be folded out of the way for a gathering that needs people to move around & mingle.

We can offer Rum tasting evenings led by a local distillery owner.

We try to be a flexible as possible with the space, so whether its a corporate gathering, painting class, murder mystery ‘party’ or other gathering (for example an italian speaking club meet here once a month) please get in touch to discuss your idea
